Blue & White LEDs

This one is a pretty quick & simple hack. I got a nice new case for my computer (Antec SX-1030) and it came with some super generic 3mm green and orange LEDs for the power & hard drive indicators!

I had some cool 5mm blue and white LEDs that I wanted to swap in. I had to do some modifications to the panel because of the 2mm diameter and about 4mm height difference of the new LEDs. After a little drilling they fit almost perfectly!

The old LEDs were flush with the surface, but these stick out a bit. After trimming the little plastic "light tubes" that bring the light forward through the door it was all fitting nicely.

Compared to the original LEDs, these are about 50X brighter.
